After the drug abuse headlines, more community response

I took the left photo at the James Gang HideAway this morning of three guys who’ve been among the many citizens involved in the drug abuse-related discussions here on Locally Grown: L to R: Curt Benson, Bruce Morlan, Scott Oney.

They’re holding up a card, helping to promote next week’s community event: After the Headlines: Current Trends in Alcohol and Drug Abuse: What Communities Need to Know (PDF).

The featured speaker (on the right): Carol Falkowski, the Hazelden researcher whose comments in a Pioneer Press article earlier this year sparked, um, a community-wide discussion about Northfield’s drug problems.
