Downtown scarecrow contest: vote for your favorite

Yesterday’s NDDC Fall Festival featured a scarecrow contest among Division Street retailers but the voting by the public didn’t get done. So I suggested to one of the organizer’s, Ally Beyer, that Locally Grown step up to the plate and conduct the voting here. She agreed and when I asked if I should check with the NDDC head honchos, I think she something to the effect of “Who the hell cares what those pumpkin heads think. Just do it.”  So here goes. The straw poll ends at midnight on Halloween.

See the scarecrow contest photo album or this slideshow… and then vote for your favorite below.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment. Websites:

I think they should all get a prize. They’re terrific! I think all of the downtown retailers should be commended for having such great Halloween and fall-themed window displays.

C’mon, Dan. Where’s your sense of favoritism? Of harsh criticism? Swag’s is the best! The HideAway’s is unusual but it isn’t a scarecrow so they should be punished severely.

Only a few hours to go on the voting. Looks like it’s a close race between Swag and Sisters Ugly.

While I don’t have a scarecrow(must have missed the letter) I do have a Gorrilla scarry enough to keep the crows away.

    One hour to go!

I heard about your gorilla from Ross on today’s show, Jerry. Hey, if Ally let the James Gang blow-up pumpkin guy into the scarecrow contest, surely a gorilla could’ve qualified.

I neglected to mention that one’s IP address is what prevents you from voting multiple times. And so if all the PC’s in your house/office share the same IP address, only one person can vote from that location. Bummer, eh?

Sisters Ugly is the winner. Ally Beyer, can you deliver the traveling trophy to co-owners Jen Sinclair and Diane Sinclair?
