Podcast #100: The Triumvirate opines about city, school board, and county races

Locally Grown cookie with candle Locally Grown cookie

We celebrated the 100th podcast episode of Locally Grown today with a cookie and a candle (okay, a match) and then later, ceremoniously crumbled it over a beer. Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Freakin’-Dah, eh?

We then launched into a discussion about who’s running and who ain’t for City Council, Mayor, School Board, and County Board.

100th show? Can’t you sell the syndication rights so you can be broadcast after “Cheers” reruns now? Way to mainstream the fringe!

Remember the county commissioner candidate forum Tuesday, Sept. 2, 7 pm at Bridgewater Township Hall in Dundas. Odd-numbered districts are up for reelection (1, 3 and 5). Only the four candidates for Dist. 5 will be there Tuesday night:

    Jerry Anderson
    Mike Piper
    Jeff Docken
    Gary Bruggenthies

There will be more publicity on Dist. 1 (Gillen/Drevlow) and Dist. 3 (Plaisance/Rowan) after the primary on Sept. 9. (See my letter to editor in Saturday, Aug. 30, NNews for details.)

    Corrections to your podcast:
Gary Wagenbach has filed to continue on SWCD , not county board. Malecha and Bauer in districts 2 and 4 are not up for reelection.
