  1. I’ve heard back from ID’s tech support and so I will be taking another crack at this tonight.

The Comments feature may be unavailable for much of the evening/early morning hours. Hopefully, things will be resolved one way or another by 6 am Wed. morn.

  2. All comments now synched with ID. I'll further customize the options later this morning. (I'm posting this as a Guest.)

  3. Comments don't appear to be numbered anymore, Griff… a major problem in my book. Does IntenseDebate offer that feature?

I also couldn't log in. I tried 2 email addresses to have the system send me my password but it rejected both. Pretty sure I got at least one of them right.

  4. I've turned on the 'report' feature, which allows anyone to flag/alert me on a comment that they think is inapppropriate. Click the 'report' button brings up a box that says:

Report this comment for a violation

You are about to flag this comment as being inappropriate. Please explain why you are flagging this comment in the text box below and submit your report. The blog admin will be notified. Thank you for your input.

  6. I'm posting this as a guest and subscribing to additional replies via email so that I can then test whether commenting via email works.

  7. I'm getting the confirmation emails when I subscribe to this comment thread but I don't seem to be getting the alerts when new comments are added. I'll try again.

  8. Griff,
    1) All comments can no longer be seen on my Firefox browser.
    2) All comments can no longer be seen on my iPhone's Safari browser.

  9. Problem #3:
My comments now need to be approved by site admins before posting.
    Problem #4:
I have to reenter my name and email address every time I type a post.

  10. Problem #5:
I can't find the post that starts:
"Paul Zorn: David L, You asked (of Patrick): >Let's assume that the child/person were 18. In that event,…"
    Problem #6:
I can't find my posts containing problems 1-4.

  11. Dang. It looks like comments are getting posted with a timestamp that's several hours ahead, so they're not visble, even though they're approved.

    I'm investigating.

  12. Okay, I give up. The problems and glitches kept piling up and getting worse by the hour.

My apologies for the hassles for those of you who tried to comment and had your posts go into the ozones.

  13. I’ve restored all the features that we’ve had for the past month or two, except for Defensio spam which was starting to give me fits… so we’re back to Askimet for now.
