Griff: an important bit of info is missing, both from your page, as well as the ‘Big Dummy’ page:

What is that OTHER trailer, the one that is NOT the Bikes At Work trailer?

I have a dream of completely eliminating the back-and-forth needed to drop off and pick up a canoe on a one-way river trip.

    My dream is simple:
Bike the canoe to the river put-in.
Canoe the bike to the take out.
    Bike the canoe home.

That smaller trailer (Eric Johnson’s?) looks almost small enough to be thrown in (or perhaps lashed on) the canoe for the trip down river, along with a partly disassembled bike.

(Of course, now that I think about it, I’d need to transport two bikes or a tandem in the canoe – since I’m a non-solo canoeist. Still, my parents have a couple collapsible Bike Friday’s they don’t use as often since they purchased their tandem Bike Friday…)

It kinda reminds me of some others I’ve come across:

    http://patentpending.blogs.com/patent_pending_blog/2005/08/bike_pulled_can.html

..but I don’t have the time/skill to do this myself, so I’d be interested in a kit or commercially available model.

Thanks to anyone who can help!

Patrick, I’ll nudge Eric and Ben to see if they can answer your questions.
