I try to be a photojournalist but get treated like a paparazzo

As you know, Griff, that has happened to me once, too. Sometimes people are keeping secrets like:
a polygamist-living in two towns with two different families,
    hiding from the law,
    really camera shy,
    think the camera steals souls,
don’t want to break your camera,
think you are trying to set them up for a punk’d gag…stuff like that…so be careful out there young man!

    Griff,
Did you ask to include them in your photographs? If not, then you should expect to get occasional negative feedback for intruding into their lives, and sometimes posting their pictures on the web without permission, where everyone in the world might take a gander.

You’re sorta like a miniature Google Streets web page.

I’ve been taking shots of the infrastructure project here on First Street and have had no problems. The guys working here may not be “local celebrities,” but they’re hard working and treat an old lady with due respect.

I recognize that shirt!(And the pants and the hair and the belt and the body shape–hey he should be working out more.) That is not UNIDENTIFIED!

Griff, I think you should keep those gestures (last picture) to yourself, since they were obviously intended for you personally, ’cause he would NEVER wave to me in that manner.

(Bright is right about everything except the polygamy. And the hiding-from-the-law.)

Ok Griff. You took this individuals picture without permission, then posted it in a public forum without permission, as the individual was working on private property… Then you go on to insult him further with your sarcasm.

I really believe you crossed the line here sir, and that you need to retract, and owe this individual an apology.

Of course, I am giving Griff grief!

Pretty funny, but I may have personally not posted the last pic. Amazing what can happen on a construction site.

Will KFC be serving that kind of bird? 😎

I would say Jimmy needs a good guard dog or a publicist – more maybe both!

Patrick (comment #2), no worries. After 10,000+ community photos, I’ve yet to incur the wrath of anyone with a paparazzi-type photo.

That unidentified guy is a 6 am GBM regular with whom I trade good-natured insults regularly.
