Photo albums: The 2009 Susan Perry Memorial Walk for Animals (Bridgette Hallcock photos)

I was out of town at a funeral on Saturday so I missed taking photos for the Susan Perry Memorial Walk for Animals. Fortunately, Castle Rock-based photographer Bridgette Hallcock was on hand to chronicle the event.  I’ve put her photos into two albums in my Northfield gallery, appending Bridgette’s name to the albums (Picasaweb doesn’t allow galleries to have multiple authors).

To quote Kai Thorson, one of the walkers on Saturday, “the morning started out a cold 29 degrees but warmed up nicely to 30”. As you can see by the pictures, a little cold, snow and wind did not keep people away or dampen anyone’s spirits. Those who cared so much about Sue and her passion for animals didn’t care about the weather. Dog people have to walk their dogs in all kinds of weather anyway, so it sure didn’t keep them away. Thanks to everyone who came out and made Saturday a “warm 30 degrees” with your big hearts!
