What’s Up with the Boat in the Cannon?

Yesterday afternoon I noticed a boat in the middle of the Cannon River.

Now, I suppose it’s not all that unusual to find a boat in a river. However, I don’t often see them in the Cannon, particularly not so close to the falls.

I tried to figure out what the crew was up to…I suppose Griff would have swum out there and asked them…but was unable to make a final determination. I’m hoping maybe one of our readers could help me out with this mystery.
