Forza! joins the blogosphere

Gretchen Falckforza-site-sshotI’ve been working with Gretchen Falck to revamp the website for her Forza! studio into a blog site. She’s been blogging since January.

At her studio on Professional Drive (behind Casey’s), she specializes in using Kettlebells, TRX Suspension Training, Resistance Stretching, and body weight exercises.

See her Testimonials page for some comments by Northfielders who’ve become regulars at her studio.

  1. Okay… I am one of those people who finds “really” good excuses not to exercise. You name it I have used it! I give myself a little break cause I, like many, was the victim of the Nazi PE teacher in school (guess that probably reveals my age). I know that was a lot of years ago but those old feeling of dread at the thought of my body not performing the way it should creeps into my psyche and takes up residence. Plus… I really hate pain!

A few months ago I started working with Gretchen, with a lot of encouragement from my Griff and the fact that I just did not like the way things were shaping up… so to speak. Before.. I could just cut down on a few calories and lose a bit of weight… well that STOPPED! I have known in my head that I should be exercising (hate that word) but again could always find reasons not to. I have been working with the Steady Strength group for quite a few months now. I have to say, I really am having fun. No dread, I actually turned down a social event because it would mean I missed class. We are all pretty much in the same boat. It is a good-natured hour of hard work and fun, certainly not boring which is another one of my excuses.
