Hanging flowers brighten downtown

With the drought, the hanging flowers scattered about downtown are more noticeable than ever this summer. The Northfield Garden Club is responsible for planting the flowers and vines in the spring but the City of Northfield’s Streets, Parks & Facilities Division keeps them alive, watering them nearly every morning before 7 am. I took this photo on Friday morning of one of the city workers who has watering duties, Mari Sorgatz. Click photos to enlarge.
