Where the heck is the proposed ethanol plant anyway?

Here’s a linked snapshot of a Google map (hybrid of satellite and streets). The proposed ethanol plant is the area to the south of Stephanie Henriksen’s property(pushpin). Zoom in and out for more detail. Below is Stephanie’s house. See her waving at us?

    Ross Currier says:

Great photomap Griff. I’m trying to envision the truck traffic and the three rail lines that were discussed on our train ride.

    Griff Wigley says:

I’m not sure, Ross, but I think the “rail lines” that Dave Fellon talked about are the railroad companies, not the track. I think the main ones are:

    UP -- Union Pacific
ICE -- Iowa Central and Eastern
    PR -- Progressive Rail
    CP -- Canadian Pacific

You can see the north-south track splits into two to the south of the property at Comus.

Maybe someone else more knowledgeable than us can attach a comment.

Maybe you can get out your purple crayon and mark in the infrastructure??? Rail spur, transmission (not the puny distrubution lines now there), substation, road upgrades with turn lanes… sigh… gas is already there, but mark that RoW in too.
