Guys do scrapbooking

Grezzo Gallery had their opening night for the scrapbooking exhibit on Friday night and it featured Wes Thomsen and his new movie, Scrapped “…a bold docu-drama diving head first into the world of scrapbooking and its explosive growth in the last decade.”

I found out that Wes is a blogger and a motorcyclist (his other movie about men and motorcycles is called Brethren: All of One). The Strib’s Jon Tevlin interviewed him last September in a piece called “Local biker, filmmaker gets scrappy” (not on their website anymore but posted here in a forum. It’s a very funny interview.)

scrap-poster.jpgI bought a limited edition, opening night poster that Nick Sinclair (Grezzo co-owner, and Sinclair Hotrods artist) created. More of those poster are available at the gallery and you can see the movie there anytime they’re open.

IMG_6016.JPGI saw the ad on the left in Saturday’s Northfield News. Looks like Northfield Photo and Memories is adding a scrapbook area in their shop on 6th St. downtown.

I may be able to convince some of my manly buddies to form a Northfield area guys-only scrapbook group, assuming we can find a heated garage with a beer-stocked fridge. If you’re interested, let me know.
