lighten up David. The piece says “fluff.” From wikipedia: “A term for anything shallow or superficial.” It was clearly a joke.

I joke with Tom everyday. I joke with Jon every time I see him. I still shop in RCB for CDs. I send customers your way all the time. Anyone who knows me well, as I thought you did, knows I’m rarely serious. Look at the name of my store.

I was just going to say that it looks to be Tom, the mail carrier for most of downtown Northfield. Not sure why he’s covering his face though. Maybe a United Postal Service policy that postal carriers cannot be photographed in uniform? Or just embarrased to be seen holding a scandalous book? I have no idea

I think it might be a city employee who is wearing a cap that is “not approved”a in a city building, thus in violation of the policy now being enforced with employees of the City of Northfield.

I believe the hat is a custom job from Rocky Top. It does accurately describe the service Tom provides.

Well, I don’t know if you have had the change to go see “A year with Frog & Toad” at the Minneapolis Childrens Theatre… but there is a song called “The snail with the Mail”, and the had made me think of that.

The character is an extremely speedy snail, that delivers a letter to Frog from Toad…
