The Sketchy Artist opens for business

The Sketchy ArtistApril RipkaThe Sketchy Artist

I was cruising downtown looking to buy a birthday card on Sunday and noticed that the The Sketchy Artist was open for business in the old Lena’s Hus location at Division and 3rd St. next to the Nutting Block. Shore ’nuff, they had a great selection and owner April Ripka was there to give me a tour. Her web site is up but it isn’t ready yet. Real Soon Now, I think she said.

NDDC’s Ross Currier blogged about April’s store back in late December and then mentioned the store again last week in a blog post about Jim Bohnhoff who created the external sign for the store.

The Northfield News had an article about her store in December.

April’s store was the subject of my Guess the new retailer coming to Division St. blog post back in November.
