Senator Dahle’s new blog: ‘Mr. Dahle Goes to St. Paul’

Newly-elected District 25 Minnesota State Senator Kevin Dahle (that links to his Senate page) has decided (wisely, IMHO) to use his WordPress campaign blog as his permanent blog, rather than a separate blogspot blog.

He’s named his blog Mr. Dahle Goes to St. Paul. We’re aggregating his blog’s RSS feed on our lower right sidebar along with a few other active civic/issue-oriented bloggers. See our Northfield Civic Blogosphere page for more.

I had a chance to talk briefly with Senator Dahle yesterday in St. Paul. I and at least six other of his constituents attended, as spectators, an important presentation to a joint meeting of the Senate Energy, Utilities, Technology, & Communications Committee and House Energy Finance & Policy Division.

As a Senate newby, his head may have been swimming after a lengthy, detailed, fast-paced presentation by Matthew Simmons on global petroleum supply constraints (aka peak oil). Hang in there, Kevin! Rep. David Bly was also present (as he sits on the appropriate House committee). I blogged on the presentation at http://www.sustainablecommunitysolutions.com/index.php/2008/02/05/peak-oil-expert-talks-to-legislators/.
