Parks on fire

Last week, a team from the Northfield/Prairie Creek Farm location of Prairie Restorations, Inc. burned the grass/brush that surrounds Hidden Valley Pond, right behind our townhouse on Heritage Drive.

They said they’ve done about a dozen such fires so far this year. Each area is burned about every five years.
