Third Meeting on the Public Library is Tuesday

LibraryViews.jpgThe third in a series of three public meetings to explore the future of the Public Library is tomorrow evening, Tuesday, June 10, 7-9 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church (Old Fellowship Hall), 500 Third Street W.

This meeting will focus on concepts and options, developed by the architects based on input from citizens at previous meetings. The first meeting was titled “Dreams and visions for the library and community” and the second meeting was called “Ideas for ways to expand the library on its current location”.

The City’s website offers some good information on the sessions to-date. Tuesday’s meeting will offer a summary of the findings so far as well as a sense of the process going forward. Most importantly, this meeting offers an opportunity for public input to the Library Board as they prepare to make a recommendation to the City Council about the future of the current Northfield Public Library.
