I purchased a Methodist-for-a-day pass on Sunday so I could hear Northfield United Methodist Church pastor Clay Oglesbee give his farewell sermon.

The congregation ate it up. For some reason, they really seem to love this guy.

Clay’s dry wit made Sunday mornings an adventure. It took a lot to get me back into church involvement after a 20+ year drought, but Clay was a big part of that decision for me. He could always be counted on to take a calm, rational, non-judgmental position. I’m going to miss him.
