I’m confused. I thought it wasn’t decided that the Dukes were heading to the State tourney until after their second victory against Miesville on Saturday. But this Northfield News article indicates I’m wrong. They clinched State on Friday but the two wins vs. Miesville were for the Section title?

So they were heading to State regardless of who won the Section title? Weird!

The Dukes won both their games this weekend, beating Eagan and then Chaska. “The Dukes (34-11), who have won six straight, will play next Saturday in the winner’s bracket final at 6 p.m. in Shakopee against Miesville or Mankato.”
