Recession-proof Willie's Shoe Repair: not just shoes

Among the items that Randy Malecha (center) has repaired for me lately at his Willie’s Shoe Repair shop on Division: lining of my leather coat, my camera/cell phone holder, my fanny pack, and my thigh pack. Randy does it all.

Might his business be recession-proof? What other businesses in Northfield are recession-proof?
