The benefit truly was an amazing gathering of friends, family, neighbors, and other supporters, even folks who didn’t know Sarah. It was wonderful to see that in this current economy, with folks worrying about their budgets and their retirement funds, people so warmly and generously opened their hearts and pocketbooks to a family in need. As Jessica said, it was a true example of community.

I was SO overwhelmed by the showing of love and deep generosity by family, Northfield friends, Minneapolis friends, co-workers, high school and college friends — where do I stop? I am so blown away and I am trying really hard not to forget any one who has shown kindness, support, prayers and love.

It was a magical night which will see me through my journey ahead. I will always remember the fact that so many people are counting on me to fight and to LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you, I love each and every one of you. I am blessed.

Thank you for your post #6. I agree with the sentiment you expressed. Sarah is not only my sister, she is my best friend. I think Friday night when we (Northfield and beyond) celebrated Sarah, we went a long ways towards understanding, forgiveness and realizing AGAIN why Northfield is so special.
