Missing Northfield

2008-12-05-nfldThe longer I am away from Northfield the more I miss it.  Somehow I have a hunch it won’t be quite so pristine as in memories when I return.  Still, as far as small southeastern Minnesota towns go, it’s a good one, and I can’t wait to see it again in two weeks.

Athena Currier posted that to her blog a week or so ago. The cartoon banner is Northfield-centric.

Does anyone else out there miss Northfield?

Absolutely. Northfield definitely gets sweeter the longer I am from home. This semester I’m studying in DC, so I wasn’t able to get home for fall break or Thanksgiving, and I’m looking forward to getting back to Nfield more than ever. What I miss most are the places where I run into people, like the public library or any of the coffee shops in town.
