The New Moon Trio performed on the Contented Cow‘s outdoor stage last Friday, minus their drummer Lance Heisler. Athena Currier more than made up for his absence by joining papa Ross Currier and Justin London for a set.

Three months ago, Mayor Mary Rossing formed a Safety Center Task Force to discuss the need for a new Safety Center (police/fire station) in the City of Northfield. The seven members of the task force had equal power. They were given no budget within which to develop their plans. Based on a list of tasks given them, they were to come to a consensus and present a proposal to the City Council. Missing Northfield

The longer I am away from Northfield the more I miss it. Somehow I have a hunch it won’t be quite so pristine as in memories when I return. Still, as far as small southeastern Minnesota towns go, it’s a good one, and I can’t wait to see it again in two weeks.

Athena Currier posted that to her blog a week or so ago. The cartoon banner is Northfield-centric.

In addition to her blog, Athena has her own YouTube Channel.
