This morning, Jim Bohnhoff pointed me to his latest creation, a hanging dub dub dub that promotes the WWW Exhibit at the Northfield Arts Guild.  Right photo: psychologist Elaine Nesbit struts her stuff while under the influence of art.

According to the blurb on the NAG home page:

This innovative show explores how communications technology has influenced contemporary life, revolutionizing how we interact and process time and experience. Features a ten-minute mediated tour of the show running continuously at the NAG, the Northfield Public Library, and on U-Tube.

25 local and regional artists exhibit in this intriguing and very diverse show. The opening reception is this Friday evening, July 8, 6 – 9 pm, and is part of the Northfield Gallery Crawl. Stop in to meet artists and enjoy this thought provoking work.

Given that I’ve been complaining for a year about the lack of signage for the $100,000 public toilets, paid for by taxpayers, I’m happy to see it.  But it sure is small.

See this 20-second video of the Folding Chair Precision Marching Unit from the 2007 parage which included Northfield City Councilors Jim Pokorney and Noah Cashman. I’m not sure if this will be in this year’s parade:

Residents will be rolling in the green Saturday at Northfield’s 10th annual St. Patrick’s Celebration. The all-ages event includes a parade and costume contests and will culminate with a get-together at the Contented Cow. Festivities begin with a pre-parade luncheon at Froggy Bottom’s and a get-together in the Econofoods parking lot before the parade up Division Street, which starts at 2 p.m. Leading the parade will be a piper from St. Paul, Northfield resident Jim Bohnhoff as St. Patrick and this year’s grand marshal, Emily Monaghan.
