Northfield Roundtable’s most recent document is Framework Planning in Northfield, Sept. 2011:

What is a Framework Plan?

A document of conceptual illustrations to inspire ideas, generate conversation and explore “what could be.” A Framework Plan supports a larger idea of the whole, that is easily lost when individual elements are only considered as separate entities or identities.

Intentions of the Framework Plan

The Framework Plan will always be a work in progress. It is a document designed to be inspirational rather than prescriptive, with an emphasis on what could be as opposed to what should be. The goal is to encourage long-range visioning that will keep Northfield, Minnesota, an attractive and vibrant place to live, learn, work and play…well into the future.

I was hoping there’d be some information online about or by the candidates by now but alas, I can’t find any other than the City’s Absentee Voting info page/PDF and the Ward/Precinct Map:

WTF! Haven’t the candidates heard about the intertubes? Social media anyone? Hello? This is 2010, not 1999.

I guess we’re going to have either make stuff up about them or flush them out into the e-open.

]]> Steve Engler Steve Engler, Sheena BasnessEDA member Steve Engler was pulled over yesterday morning in front of the First National Bank Northfield by Sheena Basness, Community Service Officer for the Northfield Police Department.

Steve was cited for violating several provisions of the new EDA dress code including (see enlarged photos with red arrows):

Left photo: Section 2b “pants no lower than 1 inch below waistline”; Section 4d “no wallet marks on back jean pockets”

Right photo: Section 7d “no writing utensils and papers in front shirt pockets”; Section 9f “belt buckles must be 50% or more smaller than Chip DeMann’s belt buckle.
