Google Analytics LoGro March 2012

According to Google Analytics, Locally Grown’s traffic for the month of March, 2012:

  • 13,240 Unique Visitors
  • 21,969 Visits
  • 38,403 Pageviews

I’m pretty sure that this is the first time we’ve exceeded 13,000 unique visitors in a month.

  • 12,049 Unique Visitors
  • 22,815 Visits
  • 41,354 Pageviews

That’s virtually unchanged since April when I last blogged about traffic.

LoGro’s April web traffic surpasses all-time high by wide margin: 12,000 unique visitors

According to Google Analytics, Locally Grown’s traffic for the month of April, 2011:

  • 12,081 Visitors
  • 22,787 Visits
  • 39,891 Pageviews

I was surprised when we nudged up to 10,000 unique visitors in March, as we’ve hovered between 8-9,000 for many months.  So it was quite nice to see the jump to 12,000.

  • 8,547 Absolute Unique Visitors: Previous: 8,334 (+2.56%)
  • 18,242 Visits: Previous: 19,222 (-5.10%)
  • 37,128 Pageviews: Previous: 41,502 (-10.54%)

That’s our second-highest ever for site visitors, eclipsed only by Nov. 2008 (election year).

Locally Grown web traffic stats, October, 2009 LoGroNo (Locally Grown Northfield) traffic for October was up 9-12% from September, according to Google Analytics:

  • 8,484 Absolute Unique Visitors; Previous: 7,583 (+11.88%)
  • 19,222 Visits; Previous: 17,135 (+12.18%)
  • 41,502 Pageviews; Previous: 37,772 (+9.88%)

Participation

We had 1,272 comments, up from 874. That might be an all-time high.

We had 92 different people commenting, slightly higher than the 60-80 that we’ve been averaging since March, 2009.

Our Google PageRank value is 5 out of a possible 10 points according to PRChecker. (PageRank uses a base-10 logarithmic scale, same as the Richter scale. So a site with a PageRank of 5 has approximately ten times the traffic of a site with a PageRank of  4.)

September compared to August:

  • 7,583 Absolute Unique Visitors; Previous: 6,417 (+18.17%)
  • 17,135 Visits; Previous: 16,216 (+5.67%)
  • 37,772 Pageviews; Previous: 34,870 (+8.32%)

Participation

We had 874 comments, up from 785. I missed getting the number of commenters but we’ve been averaging 60-80 different people commenting since March, 2009.

Locally Grown site traffic report for August, 2009 LoGroNo (Locally Grown Northfield) traffic for August was up 3-6% from July, according to Google Analytics.

August compared to July:

  • 6,548 Absolute Unique Visitors; Previous: 6,305 (+3.85%)
  • 16,569 Visits; Previous: 15,727 (+5.35%)
  • 35,589 Pageviews; Previous: 33,554 (+6.06%)

Participation

We had 75 different commenters during the month of August. We’ve been averaging approximately 800 comments per month (by 60-80 different people) since March, 2009.  Our all-time record was 1900 comments in October of 2008.

July compared to April:

  • 15,727 Visits; Previous: 17,966 (-12.46%)
  • 6,305 Absolute Unique Visitors; Previous: 7,725 (-18.38%)
  • 33,554 Pageviews; Previous: 39,511 (-15.08%)

Participation:

We’ve been averaging approximately 800 comments per month (by 60-80 different people) since March, 2009.  Our all-time record was 1900 comments in October of 2008.

Visits were up slightly; pageviews were down slightly; comments, and commenters were down significantly.

  • 8,695 Absolute Unique Visitors; Previous: 8,169 (+6.44%)

Locally Grown site traffic report for February, 2009 LoGroNo (Locally Grown Northfield) traffic for February was a mixed bag, according to Google Analytics.  Site visitors set a record, going past 8,000 for the first time; pageviews and visits were down 8-10%. That may be because I’m now able to prevent pageviews and visits by me, Ross, Tracy and Bonnie from adding to the totals.

I’m comparing Feb. to Dec., as we lost the stats for a good chunk of January when I forgot to replace the code in the footer during the site changeover to a new theme. I’ve since installed a plugin to prevent a reoccurance (continued)

  • 22,185 Visits; Previous: 25,918 (-14.40%)

  • 52,832 Pageviews; Previous; 63,137 (-16.32%)

Locally Grown site traffic report for November: a record for unique vistors, however…

Back in early October, I blogged that we had a record September for unique visitors (6,921) and comments (1,211). I was expecting we’d do even better in October because of the elections, but alas, when we unveiled a new look to LoGroNo in mid-Oct, we forgot to put back the Google Analytics code that tracks our traffic, so all of October’s stats were lost.

  • 25,918 Visits
  • 10,075 Absolute Unique Visitors
  • 63,137 Pageviews

Why the big jump from 6,900 visitors in September to 10,000 in Nov.?  Two national/international stories:

The number of unique visitors was just shy of 7,000 for the month, our highest ever.

Participation: Number of people commenting during the month: 107. Previous: 130.

Number of comments posted during the month:  1211 (highest ever). Previous: 966.

  • 6,321 Absolute Unique Visitors; Previous: 6,555 (-3.57%)
  • 54,748 Pageviews; Previous: 62,071 (-11.80%)

Traffic was 85-95% higher than August of 2007.

#1 blog post for August was Were Citizens Mean to Administrator? with 1,680 Pageviews, 1,389 Unique.

Number of comments posted during the month: 966. Previous: 1,038

  • Visits: 23,510. Previous: 21,788 (+7.90%)
  • Absolute Unique Visitors: 6,555. Previous: 6,556 (-0.02%)
  • Pageviews: 62,071. Previous: 56,099 (+10.65%)

Those are all-time highs for visits and pageviews. All-time high for unique visitors was 6,927 in April.

#1 blog post for July was actually initated in April: Who should run for mayor and city council? How about school board and county board? with 1,293 Pageviews, 1,000  Unique.

LoGroNo (Locally Grown Northfield) traffic for April was up significantly (21-34%) over the previous month, according to Google Analytics:

  • Visits: 20,569. Previous: 16,435 (+25.15%)
  • Absolute Unique Visitors: 6,909. Previous: 5,697 (+21.27%)
  • Pageviews: 47,620. Previous: 35,588 (+33.81%)

Those are all-time record highs, including last July’s heroin story-inflated number of 6,200 visitors.

#1 blog post for April:  Lansing Hardware going out of business with 1,806 Pageviews, 1,486 Unique.

LoGroNo (Locally Grown Northfield) traffic for March was up slightly over the previous month, according to Google Analytics:

  • Visits: 16,784. Previous: 16,123 (+4.10%)
  • Absolute Unique Visitors: 5,802. Previous: 5,032 (+15.30%)
  • Pageviews: 36,213. Previous: 35,314 (+2.55%)

I think 5,802 is our best-ever number of unique visitors, with the exception of last July’s heroin story-inflated number of 6,200 visitors.

  • Visits: 21,755 vs. last month 17,904
  • Absolute Unique Visitors: 5,706 vs. last month 4,405
  • Pageviews: 55,423 vs. last month 48,454

Those were our best-ever stats for visits and pageviews.

#1 blog post:  Kevin Dahle, Our New State Senator with 2,645 Pageviews, 1,627 Unique.

Another tidbit: we’re now #6 when searching Google for the word ‘logrono.’

Locally Grown traffic summary for December 2007 
Our traffic for December was up again over the previous month:

  • 17,904 Visits (average/day: 577)
  • 4,405 Absolute Unique Visitors
  • 48,454 Pageviews

Those were our best-ever stats for visits and pageviews. Only July, with the influx of people nationwide from the heroin story, had higher numbers for unique visitors.  In December, we had 1,000 more unique visitors than we did in November.

#1 blog post: Mayor intends to serve out term with 3,000 pageviews, 2,000 of them unique.

Another tidbit: we’re now #1 when searching Google for either the words or the phrase ‘Locally Grown.’
