DeMann is 2007 Heywood Award recipient

Chip_DeMann.JPGMy neighbor Jeanne Schnobrich called tonight with the news that Chip DeMann was chosen as this year’s Joseph Lee Heywood Distinguished Service Award recipient.

The Heywood Committee met earlier this evening at the Northfield Historical Society.

It’s the 25th anniversary of the award and DeMann was instrumental in creating it.

He’ll receive the award in the fall at the annual dinner during DJJD. I took the photo of Chip with his twin brother at last fall’s Jesse James Bike Tour.

Finally! Noone more deserving than the Chipster. An untiring ambassador for the town of Northfield, he has made friends for us all over the world–horses and people. Congrats Chip.
