My younger brother PFC Frederick Winslow Blodgett who fought valiantly in WW II, won a bronze star and was only one of three in his rifle company who survived a battle with the Germans in Belgium died too young at 65.
I saw more than enough combat with Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron Thirteen in the Pacific. Neither of us was listed among Northfield WW II veterans.
