Sprazzo wood-fired pizza coming to downtown Northfield

I took the photo of Phil Daniel and Shawnee Langworthy this morning at the Goodbye Blue Monday (GBM). They are the proprietors of Sprazzo, a new wood-fired pizza restaurant opening this summer in the old Ideal Cafe/Las Delicias space. (That’s between GBM and The Kuyper Group Re/Max Results on Division St. in downtown Northfield.)

Sprazzo will have a large mezzanine for dining, with views of downtown and the river through the upper windows. They’re applying for a full-liquor license so I gave them my pitch for sidewalk dining and the need to change Northfield’s ordinance.

I took the photos of the Sprazzo logo and architectural sketch from Shawnee’s computer. Click photos/images to enlarge. For more about Phil and his architectural stained glass business, see his web site and this Strib article.

So we now have 1/3 of the puzzle revealed that I originally posted in Guess the new restaurants coming to Division Street. More to come.
