Anyone know why the bridge is closed?
Please get on this Griff–why are they blocking us from using this bridge. Is it unsafe? Does it become unsafe in the rain? It is blocked with heavy saw-horse blocks AND snow fencing so you can’t walk or ride a bike across. IT SEEMS RIDICULOUS.
If they are blocking for snowmobiles, they are a little early and they have used overkill–perhaps they need Dundas to show them how to block the bridge while leaving it accessible to walkers and bikers and skate boards.
They applied a 2nd coat of a protective cement sealer that makes it easier to clean and remove grafitti. The bridge should have been opened by now, but maybe because of the weather maybe it was delayed.
Thanks for the update, Councilor!
I chatted with the Healey construction crew and City engineering staffer Sean Simonson a bit on Monday and took some photos. I’ll update our other blog post on this topic shortly:
The new MTT retaining wall leaks; is this a problem?
