There’s no mention of a it in yesterday’s Friday Memo but today’s Northfield News reports that the Northfield Police Department has made available a Northfield crime statistics data map (aka a mashup) via a link from the department web page. ” Currently, the map tracks burglaries, robberies, arson, theft, vehicle thefts and damage to property with tiny, multi-colored pushpins inserted on the map where the offense reportedly occurred. Each pushpin entry also includes basic information about the crime, including the case number, type of crime reported, and the time and date when the offense allegedly occurred.”
This is very helpful. I see that most of the burglaries are not forced entries.
You’re right, Stephanie. And it’s good to see that there have been no robberies and no vehicle thefts in the past 90 days.
The link to the Nfld News story, Police begin to map Northfield crime digitally, share via Web, is now working in the blog post.
