Candidates for governor have been campaigning in Northfield the past few weeks. Yesterday morning, Steve Kelley visited with local citizens at the Goodbye Blue Monday. We’ve also had visits from Paul Thissen and John Marty. The Politics in Minnesota website has a comprehensive list of those running for governor (and not running).
Discuss the candidates, the campaigns, and the relevant statewide issue here.
At last night’s caucuses, R.T. Rybak and Margaret Anderson Kelliher emerged as the DFL favorites, and Marty Seifert and Tom Emmer led the Republicans.

For the governors that are running this term. I ask a question for the Agriculture of the state. Much of our local food on farms could support this region. However, no matter the type of farming involved always has a fault that kills production. Out of Pocket Health insurance.
Is it possibly for the state of MN to set up various health plans for farmers in the state of MN to insure that local production, and the business it brings our state may continue to grow instead of decline?? how about creating MN farmers insurance like Crystal beets have for ND and MN farmers.
