Skateboarders and breakdancers demonstrate and fundraise (Sundaes on Mondays)

Breakdancers and skateboarders performed at River Park Mall this afternoon while their colleagues sold ice cream as a fundraiser. I’m not 100% sure if it was for the skate plaza or the Union of Youth (NUY) or both. I’ll update this post after Josh Hinnenkamp, NUY ED, blogs about the event. Click photos to enlarge.

Update 5/22 8:30 am: the event was called Sundaes on Mondays and was a benefit for The Key, according to this blog post by Josh. Lots more photos there, too. My racquetball buddies, Pete Haugen and Kurt Hornnes at Northfield Chiropractic provided the location for the event and donated the ice cream.

  1. The six skateboarders from left to right (last names excluded because I don’t know a couple of them) are ???, Trevor, Tommy, Toby, Josh, Jim.

Also my last name is with a K not a C (Kamp) – not a huge deal, just pointing it out
