It’s 6:10am as I’m typing this in my corner office at the Goodbye Blue Monday coffeehouse with a hot cup of coffee. It was tricky getting out of my driveway and down Heritage Drive to Hwy 3. But from there to downtown, piece o’ cake. Hwy 3’s been plowed, as has the Water St. parking lot and Division St. They’re working on the sidewalks. Seems like we got about a foot of snow thus far. Winds are ahowling. I love this stuff.
Hey Griff –
Good to see you this morning. Yes, it was a bit exciting from my driveway to Washington Street but Downtown Is Open.
Nice job by the City Staff assuring that our Central Business District is ready to serve!
What’s great about a snowstorm?
Bob Will stopped by my corner office around 8:30 am wearing his ratty looking 40 year-old sheepskin hat. He thought it might be interesting to invite people to comment here about all the positive things that a snowstorm like this can bring to one’s life/a community.
I love it how blustery weather brings out the interesting hats.
Here’s a hat that was deployed for Halloween according to its owner. How cost-effective!
Cold weather encourages people to clean their glasses when they enter warm buildings, thus reducing eye strain.
It was a nice ride to work on my bike. I shoveled the bike rack if anyone needs a parking spot.

MPR included one of my above photos in their blizzard slideshow (#3). Northfielder Charlie Skinner (#2), too.
