I spent hours on Tuesday morning taking about 300 photos (some macros) of the spectacular hoar frost, mostly around downtown but also a few at St. Olaf and Malt-O-Meal. Here’s a preview. I hope to have them up sometime this weekend.

In the meantime, you can tide yourself over with Christopher Tassava’s January 2010 Hoar Frost slideshow, highlighted on Northfield.org.
Looking forward to seeing more from you, Griff – it was a spectacular sight on Tuesday morning. 🙂

Hi Angela, thanks for link to the photo. Good to have another professional photographer chiming in here. I think that makes 4: Bridgette Hallcock, Dan Iverson, Scott Davis and now you.
Ooooh, good to know about Christopher Tassava’s hoar frost album, Nate. I see he’s got a new location for his blog, too:

Griff, I am so sick and tired of your pejoratives. I had just gotten you out of the habit of saying, “Tracy, you ignorant slut”, and there you go maligning the frost’s morals, for no good reason. Who you callin’ a hoar? Plus, this is a family site, and I don’t think photos would be appropriate.
Are you feeling any better yet, Tracy, you ignorant slut?
The hoar frost mornings continue. At this rate, getting my album published is going to compete with getting my taxes done.
FYI, Christopher Tassava has an album up from today’s frost at http://www.flickr.com/photos/tassava/sets/72157623118037323/

Griff- Are you going to narrate your album with a hoar story?
Great pictures of the beautiful frosty morn’s! As I shared my own pictures on Facebook, my cousin in Norway also shared some from his home in Trondheim. Amazing how the beauty of the hoarfrost stretches from country to country; enjoy! http://www.adressa.no/tjenester/bildeserier/article1432602.ece
Wow, thanks for the link to those photos, Charlene.
