Griff – Thursday, July 15 from 5:00 – 8:00pm there will be an open house at the Phoenix Building (618 Division Street S). People will be able to tour the new spaces and get deals at Allure Salon, Community Resource Bank and Anytime Fitness. FYI
I’ve been impressed that Community has maintained a downtown presence since the construction of that monstrosity at Heritage and Jefferson.
But in the new location, even moving the main entrance to the front of the building: sidewalk, not parking lot! Good job.
Sean- That’s a very good observation. It is in keeping with the placement of the building, and its “mainstreet” location. One thought I do have, and this is pure speculation as I have not seen nor heard any plans of this, is that leaving the parking lot side of the building unrestricted would ease the opening of a drive-up window.
John, my sister (Beth Closner) and her business partner, (Randy Lutz), own the building. There are no plans for a drive-thru window at the bank. Just trying to make the parking easy for everyone, the appearance of the Phoenix Building welcoming, and good security/lighting for use of the ATM as well as the entrance to Anytime Fitness (even at night).
Mary- That is really good to hear. My wife and daughter really enjoy the fitness club there, also. They don’t have to go all the way across town to work out.
