The Locally Grown Triumvirate is back

We’re back.

It’s quite likely a lot of people didn’t know we did jack shit for August, as we had 6,200 unique visitors to the site during the month, down only 22% from July. I’m not sure that’s good news or not.

What’s next?

  1. We’re going to put up a straw poll in the next few days, asking y’all for your feedback on the things we’ve done the past five years with the blog and the radio show/podcast.   But we’re going to need help designing it so watch for that blog post tomorrow.
  2. We’re also going to put up a straw poll in the next few days, asking y’all for your ideas on the issues you’d like to see us focus on between now and the end of 2010.  We’ll need help designing that straw poll, too, so watch for that blog post on Wednesday.

We’re glad to be back and look forward to having fun and stirring up trouble.

I’ve disabled most of the sidebar widgets for the time being while we revamp.

….with more to come in the next couple of days….

Griff, were you planning to email our user base/mailing list/subscribers to let them know?

Yep, Tracy, I will. But I’m first converting our mailing list over to MailChimp. Hope to get that done tomorrow and launched right after I get the feedback post up.

We’re really interested in hearing what topics/issues are the most important to LoGroNo participants in the next 60 to 90 days.

Maybe you should focus the subject matter, in order to control admin’s time, to the election/candidates, from now ’til mid-November.
Because people tend not to vote in as large numbers in mid-term elections, the local scene often has a hard time getting a strong turnout for the local candidates.

Everyone should vote, not just those who feel most strongly at either ‘edge’.

  6. Griff – It seems to me you took off more than August – I guess the STOCK PHOTOS you have posted on your blog are your attempt to make us think you were doing something more than Jack…

Pretty gutsy to post that “watch for that blog post tomorrow” vs. “watch for that blog post soon” as it sets you up to actually have to produce, on a time line.

Have you had enough abuse yet?

Hope things are good for you in your peaceful bovine town. We miss being more involved.

Hey Colleen, glad you’re keeping track of us.

Yes, an editorial production schedule might be one of those things we institute.

As for whatever abuse we might get, we’re pretty thick-skinned. Besides, it’s way better than being ignored!

    Kiffi/Ross,

I’ll blog about subject matter tomorrow. This thread is about designing the straw poll for feature feedback.

Straw poll! Hmmmmm. Don’t know if I want to be a sucker for that or not.
I suppose a little depends on what type of straw you propose to use. Oat straw should be pretty plentiful now. Or, is this straw soda like something manmade?
