Glenn Switzer and I had lunch yesterday at the Pan Pan Café, 3rd and Division in downtown Northfield.
Yum! The stir fry was superb, the London cheesecake was the best I’ve had in Northfield, and our personable waitress (name?) adeptly handled all the grief we dished out.
Glenn is Mayor of Dundas, a proprietor (with his wife Michelle Millenacker) of Archibald Inn B&B, and a co-owner of Switzer’s Nursery and Landscaping. His blog: Glenn of Dundas.
Thanks for the F2F time Griff… I can talk so much faster then I can type (and I don’t have to worry about correct spelling)… Lunch was first class and really tasty! Norm has a winner in Pan-Pan and I’ll be back… maybe I’ll even take Michelle on a date! Keep up the good work Julie B.
although, did you see where they kept the red balls to play four-square…
I like Pan Pan’s pho — Vietnamese noodle soup with meat and vegetables. The San Francisco version comes with a shrub-sized sprig of holy basil, but that’s probably hard to come by here in winter.
The excellent broth reminded me of Tanpopo, that heartwarming Japanese cult/ gangster/ noodle shop/ search-for fulfillment-through-better-ramen/ movie.
Ahhh, yes, there is the other type of Four square. I forgot that it has an analog history.
FYI, Pan Pan started a check-in deal yesterday, "offering specials for those who check-in with location services using their smartphones."
…the photo of the cheesecake is making my mouth water…
…Ross, I highly recommend the cheesecake. Especially if you order it with the “Pennsylvania’s Finest Gourmet Chocolate Syrup” on top.
and Griff are you suggesting that I had an ‘analog’ childhood… Legos, Lincoln Logs, Tonka, Schwinn & 4 Square… I guess so, nice.
