HoH_Logo_97.gifA film crew from TPT’s Almanac was interviewing Northfield Historical Society Executive Director Hayes Scriven about an hour ago on Bridge Square.

No, not for the ‘h’ problem, but for their Almanac: Hands-On History Exploring Northfield special, to air over the next couple of months.

The show will draw on the all of the video documentaries Dennis Wilcox and Paul Krause produced for the Northfield Community Video Project, plus the orientation video Paul did for the Northfield Historical Society.

You can see the first video segment that aired on last Friday’s July 20 Almanac, featuring the bank raid and interview segments with Chip DeMann and Wayne Eddy.

  1. Griff,

The show will air sometime in October and it shoudl be a pretty good program. They are going to run pieces from the part they ran last Friday the rest of the month as well.

We did joke that this will be some good press finally for Northfield as well!

Another segment of Almanac: Hands-On History Exploring Northfield aired on Almanac on Friday. “Mary Lahammer introduces us to some of the interesting Founding Mothers of Northfield, Minnesota.”

It features Hayes Scriven talking about Mary North and Maggie Lee.

  3. Griff, I am not one to correct your recollections of Northfield history but it was Ann North not Mary North. Also I saw that you got your way into the shot!! Good job!!

Arrrgghh! Thanks, Hayes, for the history lesson. And I’m embarrassed about being seen in the background with my camera. Sheesh, you’d think I’d know better!

embarrassed my barnacles! you nudged your way into the shot just like the PAPA RAT ZEES do! Scandalous self promotion. The embarrassment should come with the little Creepy-Peppy faux camera you use. Talk about a limp looking lens! Where’s your big stompin zoomer?

Man… you’re giving northfield a sketchy name, actin’ out like some hopped-up shooter. what you on?

Nah… I take all that back… just wanted to say it. Really, you was like some dupie tourist. Is there some way you could pull that frame off of KTCA’s video and use it as your signature photo on the LG Masthead? Northfield’s Peripatetic Reporter
