The last time I used that phrase in a blog post title, things didn’t turn out so well.
Yesterday afternoon, local business owners, St. Olaf students, and miscellaneous other volunteers filled hundreds of sandbags on downtown’s west side behind Larson’s Printing.

Riverwalk barricades went up on the west side yesterday. Froggy’s built their sandbag dike. Bill’s Pizza has several dozen sandbags readied. I’ve added 9 more photos to the album.
David Hvistendahl has started pumping water behind the walls at Froggy’s. I’ve added 3 more photos to the album.
The City started sandbagging around the Safety Center yesterday afternoon. I’ve added a few more photos to the album.
