Robbie and I ducked into the Old Town Tavern in Morristown during Dam Days a couple weeks ago when we were biking on the Sakatah Singing Hills Trail.
The pay phone sign on the exterior gave us a hint that we were stepping back in time. But some of the items on the breakfast menu really took us back: one giant pancake, $1.59; toast (white or wheat), $.79.
Best of all: the breakfast menu on the table is sponsored by Budweiser, and the breakfast banner on the exterior of the restaurant is sponsored by Michelob Golden Light Draft. Those beer company marketing departments must know something.
All this money going to into local economies from people using recreational bike trails! Nice series, Griff.
