Adam Gurno’s one-year anniversary blog post on Northfield.org prompted me to do the same. Here are my favorites of the photos I took that day:
L to R: the fog in our backyard; my daughter Gilly; our sod; and the Bonnie and Clyde death car VW from Dokmo‘s lot. Click to enlarge.
And here’s a video clip that I took from my garage roof… before the hail stones got really big.

This is almost TOO PAINFUL to comment on! The only positive thing out of it is that we got a new roof, new siding, new windows and a new car, with only about a couple grand out of pocket. I finally got a payback for all those years I paid thousands of dollars for home & auto insurance.
Our roof was not far from needing replacement anyway. I was so happy to have it done, we bought the roofers pizza and pop for lunch. I set up my patio table with napkins and glasses and they were happy as clams and ever so grateful to have someone do that for them. Those guys work hard and it is dangerous work. Go Roofers!
