Tonight’s Comprehensive Plan Update/Open House at the Armory had another good turnout, and constructive comments and suggestions continue to flow from a variety of Northfielders, both old-timers and newcomers.
Here’s a three-minute audio clip of Ross’s brief address; I’ve also posted a few photos on Flickr.
Because this has all been so staggeringly serious, I feel the need to lighten up. I offer the following photo of Ross with City planner Dan Olson, which begs for a caption.
Griff, Ross, and I will choose a winner over the weekend and award a prize befitting the cleverness, humor, and/or originality of the comment. Family members of the judges are not eligible unless the caption is really, really good.
Hah! Stone beats… Tied AGAIN?
Hey hey! hey hey! a community united will never be divided!
Wonder Twin powers, activate!
After all-night deliberations cleared the room of even the most dedicated citizens, the only remaining community officials reached a gleeful consensus on the tricky “how to count to zero” agenda item.
As a side note, not an official caption, I must say that I had about four or five other captions varying from dirty to downright filthy, but I elected not to drag this blog into the slop in which I so frequently, so joyously wallow.
We’ll see if anyone else takes the bait which dangles so invitingly in this picture.
“Stands with Fist and Grins No. 1”
“Stands with Fist and Grins No. 2”
It’s a riddle:
If I have a bee in my hand what do I have in my eye?
Answer: Beauty…because beauty is in the eye of the bee holder!
Very philosophical approach for the comp. plan!
“Give me your poor, your tired, your weak….. aw heck! Just give me your money!”
Mary- Let’s hope no one gets stung with this!!
Ross- Are those badges you two are holding? Are you getting ready to pin something on someone?
Was there a winner??
