I asked for an invitation to be on David’s radio show this week and I just got a text from him:

U R hereby invited to a verbal smackdown, 6 pm, KYMN. Will B War of the Worlds II. Will expose U as a royalist and rumor monger.

Wear your big boy pants, David.

That would be Tuesday, March 20, 6 p.m. I expect a world-wide audience for this one, via http://www.kymnradio.net.

Those of us Coloradans who are sick and tired of listening to earthshaking news about various quarterbacks coming and going (?) will be eagerly following this ongoing story. Your war story is much more interesting and has far greater import to the future of 21st Century America! Griff and David, thanks for keeping us focused on those things that really matter! As long as you don’t use the “F word” (No, silly! Not that one! FOOTBALL) I’ll be in the audience.

Glad you’ll be tuning in today, Elizabeth.

I actually asked the KYMN folks today whether they could bleep out swear words on a live show, just in case David and I get carried away. Alas, they can’t, so we’ll do our best to not use any of the seven dirty words.

But maybe variations like ‘frickin’ or ‘freaking’ will find their way into the conversation.

Griff, I’ve recruited my long-time friend Elizabeth from Brookings days, who obviously has more time on her hands since retiring last week, to add to the listening audience tonight at 6. So add Larkspur, Co., to the demographic.

Yes, indeed I do have more time on my hands now. I just turned on the TV to see if I could find any news to watch, and some guy named “Peyton Manning” is on the air talking about coming to Denver to play…. Uh oh! I don’t want to use that “F” word (the one related to sports) in polite company. I quickly turned it off. I expect that I’ll have more than enough opportunities to hear his name on local Colorado “news” programs in the near future. I find the upcoming Northfield radio show topics much more interesting!
