In today’s paper: Fifth and Water project advances: Streetscape Task Force adds benches, removes median.

The current design proposes widening the sidewalk along the river, new bike racks, benches and limestone block seating, as well as more trees and planters. The parking lot would no longer have a median where a mailbox for some Water Street businesses resides, and parking stalls would be perpendicular, as opposed to its current angled configuration.
