I stopped by Gretchen Falck’s new Forza! For a Fit Life studio (on Professional Drive behind the Woodley St. car wash near Casey’s) yesterday as carpet was being laid in anticipation of Saturday’s 1 pm open house. Twin Cities-based kettlebell instructor Ron Morris will present at 1:30.
Ray Cox wrote about Forza on his Northfield Construction blog, Ellen Iverson blogged it on Northfield.org, and Craig Green wrote about it in a Northfield News article last week titled: New studio teaches ancient Russian workout.
A kettlebell is a cast iron weight that looks like a cannonball with a handle. With its history going back to 18th-century Russians preparing for Olympic games and Russian special forces, the kettlebell is used for strength, agility and endurance.
is this exclusively a kettle bell studio?
I’ve assumed so, Tony, but the kettlebell training is evidently wrapped around Ron Morris’ philosophy of fitness. I guess we’ll soon find out.
