Rueb ‘N’ Stein’s 25th anniversary

Joe and Jodi Grundhoefer are celibrating the 25th anniversary of J. Grundy’s Rueb ‘N’ Stein this week. Grundy Burgers can be had for $1.65 (click center image) through Friday so tonight I went down and had one. Two. Okay, three.

See Dan Iverson’s piece in the Northfield News (click right image) for the full story: 25 years in the making

While many downtown Northfield businesses have come and gone during the past quarter century, the corner of Fifth and Division Streets has remained a bastion of satisfaction for those in search of a good brew and an even better burger.

    Hey Griff:

While I was celebrating this impressive event yesterday morning with Joe, Dale Finger walked in. I asked him how long he’d been in business at the Quarterback Club. He said 28 years.

Wonder if we can look for some 1979 pricing on a basket of chicken sometime soon…

QB prices are still at ’79 pricing. There is nothing like QB chicken! I just had some shipped overnight to Guatemala and it was still hot when it arrived… go figure.

Two things our kids miss most while away from Northfield… Grundy’s and the QB (besides the people)!

Congratulations to Grundy’s — another successful Division street business.

BTW, the Guatemalan coffee at GBM is better than the stuff down here… go figure.

Nick, 25 years ago, I could actually eat three of those in one sitting. That’s what I was trying to lay between the lines. Heh.
