Our Locally Grown podcast guests this week included (center) Ward 2 City Councilor Scott Davis and (right) Erin Mayberry, Recreation Coordinator for the Community Services Division at the Northfield Public Schools. Click photo to enlarge.

We first talked with Erin and Scott about Saturday’s Northfield Community Volunteer Festival in the Northfield High School lower cafeteria . See Scott’s post on Northfield.org last week for more details. Among the other important things we learned:

  • The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be there from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • The Northfield Municipal Liquor Store will not have a booth there. Jeez, seems like a missed revenue opportunity to me.

The Muni was our second topic, specifically, the proposed relocation of the store to one of two spots near 6th and Division St. See last week’s blog post on the topic.

And right at the end of the show, Scott made an announcement about theMill Towns Trail and a bridge over Hwy 3.

Thanks, Nick. One of these weeks, I’m going to try to do a daily 5-minute or less podcast.
