Farmer’s Market in full fall swing

Farmer's Market Farmer's Market Farmer's Market

The Northfield Farmer’s Market along the sidewalk on 7th at Riverside Park has been going full-tilt the past few weeks. These photos are from the first week in Sept.

I don’t have the days/hours handy but the signs along 7th St. at Water. give the details.

  1. I had a great experience last week after a pal reminded me that the Farmer’s Market was full of harvest yummies. Not sure about the hours, but it goes like this; Tuesday and Friday, 11:45 to 1PM, and Saturday, 9:00 to Noon.
    There is good parking nearby and

    They used to have Winter One Saturday a Month at the Red School House off Hwy 3. They have squash, homemade breads and cookies, eggs, honey, handmade gifts, meat, and new things all the time. Look for that again this year, I suspect. See more at my restaurant blog.

    The hours are in fact:

    Tuesday and Friday, 11:45 a.m. – 1 p.m.;
    Saturday, 9 a.m.-11 a.m.

    On Fridays, Farm on Wheels is also on site, with excellent meats.

    We always try to get there right before open so that we can get some of Mary’s wonderful eggs.

    As a matter of fact, I need to hurry up, finish my coffee, and get down there. They open in 30 minutes. 😎

    John, thanks for posting the hours. Any idea how much longer the farmer’s market will continue?

    My assumption is the end of October… but double check the sign next time your down there.

    BTW, if your still looking for fresh corn, Bridgewater farms (the stand on HWY 3) will have some until 1 week after the first frost.

    The Bridgewater stand is self service, and not that far past the Olaf Windmill on the right on HWY 3. They are always a great place to go when I cannot get to the farmers market.

    I am hoping that I can get some corn into mid-October, but we shall see.
