I took this photo of Northfield School Board member Mike Berthelsen at the Goodbye Blue Monday last Saturday, about to inject a GBM coffee cake with a whipping cream triple shot chaser.

In fairness, however, there was a snowstorm on the way at the time and many Minnesotans used that as an excuse to load up on life’s necessities. Me? “Better get another Black Box at the Muni, Sweetie. It’s starting to really come down hard.”
